Longggggggggg Thanksgiving Weekend!
I want to praise God before I say another word! This weekend promised to be CRAZY...crazier than I can remember, but God was good! He gave many good coworkers, good new friends and blessed us with in seeing good "old" friends! I'm truly thankful for all He did!!!
Now for the details...1st was Thursday. Raciel, our friend from GTO, wanted to have a Thanksgiving dinner for the doctors that were coming for the medical campaign at our house. I told him we would be ready. Later he asked about the Johnsons, Palafoxs, AIMers, etc. I had assumed he meant my family, his family and the 3 doctors. What started out as 9 people turned into NEARLY FORTY! Needless to say, it got moved to the building. We split up between us all, 2 turkeys, 2 hams, not to mention untold numbers of sides and desserts. It was a FEAST! Everybody did a great job with their food and we had a lot of fun. I spent the afternoon with Roberto and Carl trying to fix the hot water heater so the medical campaigners and the Rameriz could have hot water...we never got it to work! I felt really bad, but they were total troopers and never once said a negative word...it was awesome!
Then early Friday morning I went to the building to take the medical team and the Ramirez to quesadilla. It was a great way to start the day ;)! After that we returned to the building for the team meeting at 8:30 a.m. The idea was to set up 5 stations. Each person would go through each station to help give them the best set of glasses for their needs.

As you can see, we had people at every station working hard. It was really cool to see everyone come together and work to help so many people. At the end of the day more than 270 people had come through the church building doors to be checked. Please pray for us as we follow up and try to help people not only with material needs, but more importantly their need for Christ!

This video was taken MINUTES after we opened the doors Friday morning at 9 a.m. for the glasses campaign.

Here's a "combo" slideshow of the two days and the people involved!
