I'm a Tulsa boy. I grew up in the shadow of the giant praying hands at ORU. I was often near the grounds, but only because there is a Taco Bueno and a Walmart around the corner from it! I read this article today about all the controversy going on at the university. Though I have often laughed at Oral and his foolish man made antics and his constant lies just to get another buck, this quote reminded me how people should lead by example! You can read the rest of the article at Test of faith at Oral Roberts University.
"I'm sure there is corruption everywhere," said freshman Ben Conners, one of a number of people interviewed before the resignation. "But if you're holding students to such a high standard, making them sign an honor code and live by these strict principles, I expect the administration to be living an even stricter set of principles. To see something like this, it feels empty, like an elaborate masquerade party."
"Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly." James 3:1
