Thanks for your interest in the Lord's work in Leon and our family!

It's been a crazy couple of weeks. As many of you know, we moved out on Monday May 31st. The new AIM girls (4 new ones, 2 "old" ones) moved into Omar and Tana's house, Omar and Tana moved into our house and we moved into a furnished apartment. We have had our good days and our rough days, but over all God has been faithful and blessed us through all this.

There have been exciting moments like Gloria's baptism at comanjilla, the arrival of the 7 new AIMers, Beto's arrival as our Summer intern, Tony (1st AIM class here in Leon) and his wife Beth's Summer intership and the list goes on! This week a group from Alaska have come to visit the congregation and within a couple of weeks other groups will arrive. Two of the AIMers from last year's class will be leaving in the next couple of weeks, so needless to say there is a TON of things going on here in Leon!

We have had some really challenging days with lots of crying (mainly the kids, though Barb and I join in some times), things didn't seem to go our way and other little cultural/just life type stuff. KC has probably had the hardest time with all this and she has had some days that really upset us all (to watch her go through stuff). We haven't heard anything on the job front which makes us more than a little nervous. Our trust in the Lord has never wavered, but some times us humans aren't always in sink with His will.

More recently though, we have truly been blessed by some good people. The AIMers have tried to rally around us and help with a garage sale and moving. Some of the members from church have offered housing, money and more to help us during this time. Still others have helped pack, take us out to dinner, invite us over and just bless us. Many of you have prayed for us, and tried to help us in any way possible. But above all others, Omar and Tana have shined through this whole time to make our lives as easy as possible! They have always been givers, but this time they have gone well above and beyond! Tana did an amazing job saling our stuff at the garage sale. She has offered to watch our kids, clean our house and much, much more just to make our lives a little easier. Omar has offered to pay for things, while spending tons helping the AIMers arrive and get settled. They have both truly bent over backwards to make our transition out as smooth as possible. We are thankful for the great family they have been over these last couple of months helping make our end here a good one!

We would continue to ask you to remember us in your prayers as we finish up here in Leon and try to find a ministry job in the states. Our last Sunday here will be July 11th. Thank you for your prayers!!
