New Series

This Sunday, May 2nd, we begin a 3 month series called "Heroes del Antiguo Testamento" (heros of the Old Testament). This Sunday was basically the introduction and we talked about what the world calls a super hero and what God calls a super hero. We looked at the end of Hebrews 11 and realized that God looks for those who will express their faith through obedience and how THAT is truly what makes someone a "hero".

We will talk about 12 different O. T. characters over the next 3 months. We will study why their story was written, what we can learn from it and most importantly what makes them a hero. We will challenge the youth to realize that just like they have their heros who are typically older than them, there are also younger kids who look up to them as heros. Mason thinks the world of a young man named Uzziel in the youth and there are SO many other examples. Though we were blessed by the Acts series and all that we learned from the early Christians, we plan to challenge the youth to be a hero for Jesus with this new series!!
