"El Evangelio Incontenible"

Ben and I have started a new series with the youth from the book of Acts called "The uncontable gospel". It will last from January to April. It's been really exciting to see how this series has begun to unfold and morph into much more than we had ever planned.

We have challenged the youth to read at least one chapter a day. There is a page on Facebook where the youth can go to share their favorite verse everyday. More than half are keeping up with the reading so far and 15 or so have joined the Facebook page!

Ben came up with the logo, pictured above, for this series representing some of the key elements in the book. Due to time, I decided rather than studying chapter by chapter we would take 5 major topics in the book and study them for 2 weeks a piece. We are currently studying the Holy Spirit. The more I study, the more I realize that it truly was the Spirit helping fulfill Jesus profecy in Acts 1:8!

In weeks to come, we will study prayer, persecution, church life and the miracle stories of Acts. It's really exciting to see God's word begin to make sense to some of the kids who are new and others who have given me "that look" whenever I teach something that's over their heads. I really believe that having everyone read at home has made all the difference. Please join us in prayer about this series. It's often hard and challenging, but it's so important for the maturing and growth the youth desperately need!
