Youth Committee

Last night was our first meeting for 2010. I'm excited, because of the people I will hopefully be working with. I gave them "an out", because I'm asking a lot of them and don't want just anyone on the committee. I really want people who are first and foremost ready to serve, but also people who can commit time to the youth program. In years past so much of the work has fallen on me. We have carried the program to what it is. We have had some help with AIMers, adults, etc, but at the end of the day it was on Barb and I. In the words of Jethro in Ex 18 "that's not good!" I'm tired and the people around us are tired. Though this past year we had a committee of sorts, much of what was planned didn't happen or at most didn't happen in the way it should have, because the committee didn't follow through. We are finally at a stage where there are various people, with the gift of admistration and planning, ready to serve the youth! I'm excited for what God holds for the youth in 2010! Please take a moment and say a prayer for the youth and their growth. Together we hope to make this a great year for the program and set a high standard for years to come!
