What are we teaching our children?

As Christmas time approaches the inevitable "what do you want for Christmas?" comes up. We recently asked the kids what they wanted for Christmas. They took a while to think about it and mentioned one or two things costing like $10/20 AD! I was so proud. I remember as a kid asking for "the world" and then realizing there were stars out there and "I should probably ask for that too!" My parents were awesome gift givers! They never disappointed and to this day they still bless all us kids tremendously every year.

With limited funds, actually comes a blessing. This year few are giving "without limits" I'm sure. We are challenged to give and be creativity, but also truly give thanks for what we get and not want more and more and more! My children reminded me to be thankful and be content with what we have. We are blessed well beyond what we deserve and I praise God for that fact frequently. I'm also so thankful to so many of you who sacrifice and partner with us to spread the kingdom. There are more important things in life than Christmas gifts! We want to teach the children to store up treasures in heaven and spread the joy and message of Christmas to others and be thankful for what God gives us!
