Honoring Sunday

Today was a pretty cool Sunday. We often honor people at church for one reason or another and there are often little sacks or bags with gifts in them. This Sunday we noticed a really cool cross by the pulpit, but didn't know who it was for. Usually I know and/or am told who the gift is for and why, etc. This Sunday I didn't know and did ask. After Omar's sermon, he, along with Ana presented the cross, a picture and a certificate of appreciate to Barb and I for the youth. We were totally surprise and honored by the youth and their giving spirit. We were also very thankful to Omar for his kind words!

This was also the Sunday when we give out the mission cans. Our "missions Sunday" is actually nearly 2 months. We give out cans and let the church give over time. I'm really excited about how God will use these funds this year. Please pray that the church will be excited and encouraged to give and see the borders of His kingdom spread!!!
