Awesome time in Toluca!!!

As many of you know, this weekend we traveled to Toluca for the 15th anniversary. There were several hundred in attendance! Although, Jody Jones didn't come (the one person I was dying to see), we still had a great time seeing pictures, remembering the "good ol' days" and seeing faces we haven't seen in a while! It was really cool to see "the team" united again after all these years. I didn't realize Heidi was going to be there. She is sweeter than ever and Barb and I were really thankful to get to "catch up" with her!

Friday night was a trip down memory lane looking at the past. Saturday was "the present". There was tons of great Toluca food and a carnival for the kids. I was excited Saturday, because I was given an opportunity to speak a little about what God is doing in Leon, GTO. Sunday was "dreaming for the future". I was thrilled to hear of the future plans that the church has of planting more congregations and sending out people. The church was kind of stuck in the "mega church" mentality, which is not necessarily the best way to "reach all of Mexico". There is a "SIBI" extensions school in Toluca and it's incredible to see how God has raised up men and women and sent them all over Mexico!

During the time we were there, it was hard not to think about what history we would write in Leon. The things that would be said in the future about trials, successes and mistakes. The way how God will work through our weakness to accomplish His purpose and save many of the lost in Leon! Please keep His work in Leon in your prayers!
