Historical or Hysterical
Have you ever found yourself in a moment thinking, "someday I will look back on this and say, 'I was there" or maybe "someday I will look back and deny this moment all together"?! I have been reading about Peter recently and the great things he did in the Kingdom. The only problem is that Peter had many of those moments of "...deny this moment all together". In fact, he denied Christ when He needed him the most, but then again history tells us he gave his life for His Lord on a cross upside down!
When I think about my own history, there are so many moments I want to deny ever happened, but as I look to the future I want live so much greater than I have before! It's awesome to remember the fact that we serve a God of 2nd chances and He never gives up on us. I'm not asking for forgiveness from some great "secret sin" or anything. I'm merely praying David's prayer, "Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me." Ps. 51:12
"Disciple-making teachers get people in touch with their deepest passion-their passion for God-by constantly turning their eyes upon Jesus and the life that springs from Him."
Disciple-Making Teachers by Josh Hunt
