What will we do?!

I was recently reading about future population increases on

yahoo news. The study results shows that there will be as many as 9.2 billion people on this earth by the year 2050...amusing we haven't destroyed it by then and/or Jesus hasn't come (I'm sure that wasn't figured into the study). If God gives me life, I will be in my mid 70's!!! by then and will probably ready to "sit down" a little while. I some times feel overwhelmed when I think about the more than 2 million residents of the greater Leon area! To think about the state, the country or even the world is nearly paralyzing.

This Sunday, I have the challenge of placing the vision before the congregation again. I have prayed and thought long about what I want to share. The text that was chosen for me is John 4. It's the story of the Samaritan women at the well and how Jesus affected her deeply. Because of her faith in Jesus, she was moved to share the good news. As a result, a whole town heard about Jesus and "placed their faith in him". This story along with stories like Paul teaching at the school of Tyrannus for 2 years until all who lived in the province of Aisa heard the Word. Of course there's the example of Jesus working with 12 men who helped spread the Word so effective that over 2000 years later it's still spreading.

"What will we do"?! We will continue to spread the seed, water and watch God give the growth. Together, we can accomplish His will here on earth. It's just a matter of returning to His plan, not straying from the plan and praying day and night until He comes again! Please continue to pray for the lost of Leon, Mexico and the world. God answers prayers!!!
