This morning after our worship time, we had our usual first of the month potluck, but this month we did it with a twist. We decided to have a carnival for the kids and use it as an evangelistic event. We encouraged the church to bring friends and family. Many did and as a result, we had several new visiting families! There were a few interested in studying the Bible. One of the young ladies in the congregation celebrated her 15th b-day (huge age for the ladies here), so we had a cake and sang. We also had several games, hair was braided, faces were painted, lots of laughes, a few people got wet from the "bobbing for apples game" and in all it was a whole lot of fun. Thanks to the efforts of the church, more than 100 people heard the scheme of redemption this morning...many heard it for the first time! We also had 26 in the youth class! The last time we hit over 100 was when the children's home came and when we had a large visiting group! Praise God for the work He is doing among us. Thank you for your prayers and partnership in the work. May He forever be glorified!

Thanks to the Sunset group that came this summer, we had some fun with the "Chicken Little" glasses they brought for the kids. Everyone was happy to take a picture with their bright green glasses that didn't come close to fitting.
As you can see, most of the games were held out front, because we have no idea how we managed to cram so many people in such a little space. Believe it or not, the current "church building" we are renting is a two bedroom house. We have split one room to make a bathroom/ mini-class room. Another small room is used as a class room. The "old bathroom" is the nursery...sound terrible huh?! We also utilize the back porch as a class room and the front "garage area" (no roof) as another class room. Needless to say, it is way too small! We would ask your prayers on behalf of the congregation, as we dream of buying a properity and building on it or buying a building that would be adequate space for so many people.
