" Amor Ciego"

This year's youth Valentine banquet was probably the best event we have had to date! The youth decided to call it Amor Ciego (blind love). We asked everyone to come formal dressed and gave the "couples tickets" nearly half price to encourage the youth to bring someone. There were a good number of visitors and everyone seemed to have a good time.

As a minister in this congregation, one of the most exciting parts for me was the participation. Though Barb is TRULY amazing and did a lot of work as always, we had various other women help and a good number of the youth serve too! Esperanza made a great stuffed chicken entree, Tana made amazing rice, Ivan and Isa helped serve and really came through for us (as always). Ben and Jazmin Rubio volunteered to help with clean up, Jazmin Baker and Lety (and Bill) decorated, Jessy Miel brought some friends and we had live music, Trasa and Ivanka made an awesome punch and the AIMers are ALWAYS the hook at these kinda things! I'm proud to see how the youth have responded to our efforts to delegate responsibilities. Nearly everyone came through with flying colors on their personal task.
