Youth Retreat Leaders
Yesterday after Sunday morning class, Barb and I invited various young people over to discuss the youth retreat. There were well over 20 of us in all. I know from the picture it looks like an "american party", but the reality is none of the americans, including myself, willing be leading any of the groups during the retreat! It was an encouraging time to see how God has worked. Barb and I remember a time when there wasn't this much YOUTH, let alone LEADERS of the youth! We have 35+ signed up for this retreat! We are really excited and have worked, prayed and planned for months now. Please remember June 26-28 in your prayers as this is the first ever retreat for the youth or even the church in almost 5 years of working here! We look forward to having many, MANY more in the future!
p.s. Greatest line of the day was from Tresa, "Why does the T-shirt say 'Sean (my name in English) Ejemplos' on it?" It actually means "be examples" from 1 Tim. 4:12. The word "sean" comes from the verb "ser" (to be) in spanish, but it's the plural form for they, them, "you guys"/"yall".
