Practicing CPM

As I've mentioned in an earlier post, CPM (church planter movements) has blessed me tremendously, but also left me scratching my head! One thing from that conference that STUCK in my head was "it will take you 2 to 4 years to figure this out!" What?! That's too long!

I'm already learning some things about the "balance" of it all. I have mentioned in a prior post a young man named Juan, a friend of Alejandro. Beto and I went to visit Juan Tuesday, but it was his day off. We went again yesterday and the place was hopping! He was just too busy to really speak with us, but I sensed I was "going to fast" with him. I have continued to pray and will continue to, but I think I'm gonna "back off" off for a week or two. He said he might come again on Sunday, so we will see how things go. My primary object is to get him in the word...even before getting him to "church". I realize now how important it is to teach God's word and teach obedience even before teaching "come Sunday". Please pray for me as I struggle to find God's will in my life and as I struggle with evangelizing Leon! Perhaps our greatest need right now as a congregation is to share our faith and put into practice all we are learning in the Word!
