Finally back!
What a great trip! I was invited by RHCC to a Church Planters conference in DFW. I was blessed to see Duane, Dago and Norm and it was especially a great surprise to see Jay Jarboe. That 1st night after the conference, I was showered with blessings and prayer by the RHCC missions committee. I was also blessed to be with their youth. Each day the conference was 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a little over an hour break for the entire day. It felt like I was wading through water! It was great stuff and I can honestly say I have grown a decade or two in just 3 and a half days. If you don't believe me ask Barb:) Of course every evening I spent time with the family! It was great seeing them and I really had some great moments with my brother and sister! Mom and Dad treated me like a king and we spent some good time together too! I was reminded of just how good God has been to me through my family!!!Sunday, we were up at 4:30 a.m. to head up to McAlester and spend some time with the church there. It was good to see everyone and I was thankful to see Clint and Brooke on Senior Sunday. We had a great time with Tim and the gang during lunch and had some great conversation about processing all this "new" information. I have had an hour nap a day since I've been back trying to catch up on sleep. God has been challenging me to put all this into practice. Yesterday, Beto and I went looking for our "person of peace". His name is Juan and he wants to start studying the Bible! Please keep him and his family in your prayers.
Well, one of the things I was challenged on in the states was computer time! I have tried to balance it in the past, but now I'm trying to nearly avoid it all together. Betweeen ministry and family, life leaves little time for blogging and facebook. Please be patient with me as I try to find the balance between reporting God's work and doing God's work!
