Super Proud of the Youth

Early Saturday morning we headed South to a nearby state called Queretaro. We did a couple of circles, but we finally arrived at the building. They have a great facility and seem to put it to good use with multiple events throughout the year! The youth rally was...lacking, but the time together with the youth was truly a blessing!!! The youth from LeonSur helped clean tables after meals, set up for meals, swept and mopped, wrote thank you notes and over all were a great representation of Jesus! Though the youth rally was only Saturday, we stayed to worship with them on Sunday. Our original purpose was to help serve the congregation, but it didn't really work out that way. We had a lot of plans and dreams going into this event that weren't not met, but I came away super excited and motivated about what God is doing among the youth!! They are "kids" yes, but they are part of the kingdom and God is moving powerfully among their young lives! Please keep them in your prayers and remember Barb and I as we place a good percentage of our time and effort with them. Many look down on "youth ministers" as "babysisters"or whatever else, but I see the young people as not only tomorrow's church but as Christ's church TODAY!!!
