Conference in Morelia
Saturday, March 28th, Omar and Tana and family came to pick me up early Saturday morning to head to Morelia. I have never been and the little I saw of it seemed like a neat city. It was a good time to visit friends that I haven't seen in a while and others I haven't seen in many years! In general Gailyn Van Rheenen showed how the current church of Christ model isn't working and statistically we are declining while population is increasing. The projected future was a form of what many refer to as "house church". It was a long day since we left early and got home late, but it was good for me to be with Omar and Tana and take a serious look at how things are being down. There is still much work to be done and these kind of events make me pray so much more for the church. Please continue to pray for the Lord's work throughout Mexico. Probably the most positive thing I can take away from the experience is that Sam and Ana have done a good job with the Lord's people there in Morelia. They were super hospitable, serving and welcoming! Thanks for putting this all together Sam!
