Good weekend with Britt
Well, it's Monday morning and we are "recovering" from the weekend. Although we had a great time with Britt, we (I'm including him in this) are worn slick!!! I picked him up at the airport Friday around midday. We went to pick up the kids from school, ate lunch and then we head off to Plaza Mayor, and the temple that over looks the city. From there we came home and left for small group. We were there until late, so we came home and got a little rest. Saturday we hit the floor running! We walked ALL downtown, took the Bus Tour (a must do when you come to Leon), we cruised La Pulga and another street Market. Then we went to a birthday party, came home and cleaned up to head to church for the Campaign (see more below). Then we went to tacos and got in late. Sunday morning we got up and got ready. We were headed to Burger King to get breakfast and the CAR wouldn't start!!! Note: might seem trivial, but PLEASE praying for our care situation! Roberto came over and got us fixed up and ready to go. Yesterday was potluck! We had to leave just before to get Britt to the airport. When we arrived the visa had pulled a magic trick on us...they sent us to the immigration office. While we were waiting in the FOREVER line with NO PEOPLE in it?! he found it!!! p.s. if you come to visit us hang on to this piece of paper! It could cost you nearly $50 bucks if lost!!! It was fast, but he got to see a lot of what he needs to know as he leads a group of 20ish this coming in July. One of the things I love about Britt, there really is a lot of things, is the fact that he has been with us from the beginning. Many people have joined us after we arrived in 2004, but he was one that was with us long before! The 24/7 youth group has given our KIDS mula for Xmas more than once!!! I believe it's the only group to do that among all our supporters...and they are "just kids!" Thanks for being such a blessing to our family Britt!
As I mentioned above, we had an evangelistic campaign this weekend...old school gospel meeting type thing. Omar did a great job with the message about Jesus! We had 5 or so visitors and 2 of them were our neighbors Conchita and Marce (her daughter). We had asked for prayers for them on multiple occasions. Most recently for Sergio her husband. He is doing much better in his health though his face continues to be some what paralyzed. Thank you for your prayers and partnership with our family and the Lord's mission effort here in Leon, GTO!
