The BIG NINE!!!

Though there are days when I feel old, NOTHING makes me feel as old as when I realize I am the father of a NINE YEAR OLD boy!!!

March 15, 1999, Barb gave birth to Mason Noe at 7 p.m. in the UMC in Lubbock, Tx! What a day! I remember that all my family came to visit and even gave us a video camera to begin to record his life. Maria came and stayed with us for a couple of weeks to help take care of Mase and Barb. Omar and Tana came to the hospital to see their new nephew, as well as many other friends! We were dirty poor in the preaching school, not sure about the future, but we knew we loved serving the Lord and wanted to serve Him in Mexico (Toluca at the time). Nine years later, God has granted that dream and aloud us to see our family grow as well.

Mason is a great kid and we are really proud of the young man that he has become. He is a video game ADDICT (looking for a 12 step program if you have any recommendations?!), he is a good big brother, a good son and LOVES to "stay up late"...just like his dad and grandpa. He's a good friend and has learned to share...thanks to his sisters constantly asking him for his stuff. He has his own room and loves it. He's a great student in school and has recently fallen in love with God's word and reads it on his own. He likes to tell us about the stories he's learning. He told Barb, "I really like Matthew, but there's a WHOLE LOT of name at the first man...that part is kinda boring"! If he likes a video game or movie he will tell you EVERYTHING about it. He loves to play with other kids, but isn't much of an out doors type. He loves his guaeni pig and is dying for a dog! Although we miss our "state side" family, I'm really glad that we have Omar, Tana, Emma and Miacah near by...and Jose and Maria within 3 years! Thanks for all your prayers on behalf of Mason. More than anything else, we want him to continue to grow in his love for the Lord!
