"...de amor y amistad"
In the states Valentine's is typically lefted to lovers and there is a great pressure put on the husband "to be romantic"...though we often fail, at least I do! I like how Mexico does Valentine's day, b/c although many do the cliche balloons and roses, many honor and bless friends too! We took some flowers and a little gift to our neighbor Conchita. We are crazy about her! She's a great lady and has been so good to us. When we got there she seemed distant and upset...totally out of character! She said that her husband woke up with his mouth and one eye paralyzed. He is in the hospital and she is staying with him. She didn't say it, but I'm sure he had a stroke. Please keep them in your prayers. We had hoped that they were going to come to the marriage seminar this weekend, but now there is little possibility! Please pray for his, Sergio, health and that God would use this to open up their hearts to His message!
We would also ask for continued prayers for Esperanza and her grandfather. He has had some serious health issues this past week and continues to struggle. Thank you for caring enough to pray!!! Our prayer is that you were blessed on this day by special people and even more importantly that you enjoyed the love of our Savior!!!
"The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." James 5:16
