Read a blog lately?!

Well, it's been six years and everyone is talking about it. The news needs something to talk about, so it's all over every channel. Many blog writers have been journaling about it as well. Of course Oprah made a big deal about it...NO! my wife TOLD me about it. In all, this month seems to be consumed by the evil of others and remind us of our fears! Yes, 9/11 truly changed America as we once knew it.

Human nature seems to see thrive off the negative. I was talking to a friend a day or two ago about how much we let others and certain things CONTROL us. I see so many people live in fear of the horrible monster "what if?!".

This week I was reminded of the Parable Jesus told about the Sower. He lists 4 types of soil: 1st soil was just a path, 2nd was among rocks, 3rd was among weeds and finally there was the good soil. If you have ANY time in the faith, you fall into one of the last two "soils", because in both there was some time and growth involved. It's important be alert, because Jesus said the "weeds/thorns" represented the "worries, riches and pleasures of life". You and I can let those weeds begin to creep up and chock out the good seed in us. I know we live in "scary" times, but Jesus told us not to worry! I challenge you today to obey His command!!!
