"Where in the world have you been?!"
Ok, so it has been pointed out to me by an awesome friend...who will remain nameless (thanks Tim!) that I haven't posted in a while! Sorry people, I'm WAY behind on posting. I know it's my own fault, because I started you on a steady diet of a couple of posts a week. Then I realized I was the only one reading this thing and slowed down some. Just kidding, it's been crazy busy around here this Summer. Since it's been so long, I thought I would share what we have done...even if it might be a repeat of other posts. Here's a quick list of things we were a part of this Summer:
- Hosted a group from York, Nebraska: During that week, we worked at the building painting and cleaning, passed out flyers, worked at the children's home, carnival at the building and visited GTO.
- Hosted two families with LST: During the 3 weeks, we passed out flyers, hosted a few parties and had various readers. There are half a dozen or more that are still reading with the AIMers.
- Hosted a group from Main & Oklahoma/Lakeview: During the week, we worked with the children's home, a homeless shelter, passed out flyers, visited members in their homes, and visitied GTO.
- Celebrated the 4th of July at Splash with the missionaires and AIMers.
- Whitney, my cousin came to visit our family and work with us for a week.
- Hosted a evangelistic campaign.
- Hosted ladies days.
- Hosted men's meetings and days.
- Took a family vacation to the beach for two days.
- Various special times together as a small group.
- Various Bible studies.
The church has had it's bumps, ups and downs, but through it all Barb and I have learned a lot and are trying to grow to be more in His image! We are excited about the future and the changes He is making in us. Please keep the many changes coming up in your prayers! Currently we are helping get the Rubio family to Leon. We are thrilled about the addition they will be to the work. We have seen their humility and hard working spirits! We would also ask that you keep Meche and family in your prayers.
