The "Hats" of a missionary

I remember the great wisdom of our AIM coordinator in Toluca, Jody Jones. He use to talk often about hats. He wore an Indian Jones brown leather hat, but it wasn't the physical hats he was talking about. He would often say, "a missionary has to wear many different hats". For example, the missionary has to wear the "hat of a preacher" and fill that role. He often has Bible studies with people...which is what everyone knows and expects from a missionary. But there are many hats that missionaries wear that are less known.
Obviously there is the husband and father hat. There is the counselor hat for those who need someone to cry with. There is the yard working hat when a sister or widow needs her lawn mowed. There's the architect hat. There is the mechanic hat when a brother's car brakes down. There's the computer tech hat for when the computer doesn't work and there's no money to "have it fixed". There's the Carpenter hat (following Jesus in EVERYTHING) for various things needed around the building. There's the electrician hat for when the wiring doesn't work (this is probably one of my least favorites, b/c I always get shocked and I'm not REAL fond of it!). There's the clown hat for carnivals, etc. There's the There's the painters hat. There's the construction hat when the church can't afford to rent a place "fully furnished" or a brother needs help with a "home project". That's actually the hat I'm getting to, because during a good part of this week we will be helping with the Rubios new house. I believe I have mentioned before that the Rubio family asked to come work with us. We are super excited and have a great desire to bless them.
Yesterday, at 9:30 in the a.m., we arrived at what would be the Rubios house. Now when you see this video, you will probably think we DON'T love them much, but once you see the finished project you will realize how much we truly care for these great servants of God! I will post the "finished project" later and although I doubt Ty from Extreme Maker over home addition will "jump out and yell surprise", you might just think he WAS a part of this project. We are thankful we only found a family of rats and no scorpions yet! Please keep the safety of the workers and this family in your prayers.
P.S. WARNING!!! PLEASE, take dramamine before watching this video or have a trash can near by.
