Hard Core
Last Tuesday East Hill arrived. This past week we have been running along side of them nearly all day, everyday. It was a long HARD week. Yesterday, the LST workers arrived. They have been so positive and an oasis in the desert for Barb and I.
This morning started early...3:30 A. M. early!!! I caught a cab and met East Hill from Nebraska at their hotel to get them to the airport. After dropping them off, I came back home around 6 a.m. and crashed for an hour and then took the kids to school. We had some breakfast and then headed for the LSTers. We went up to the temple on the mountain to pray and take some pictures. Then we headed to Plaza Mayor, followed by a cultural fair. From there we picked the kids up from school and headed to eat with everyone for Tana's b-day. We took the LST guys back to the building to set up for the intro meeting with readers. It was kind of a dud because only 3 people came that we didn't know, 3 members of the youth group and 2 AIMers. We had at least 20 that had confirmed they would come and hoped their would be more support from among us, but only 3 of those 20 showed. I guess it just wasn't our night. Maybe tomorrow will turn up more people. We have had more than 50 calls with about 30 something agreeing to come, so we will see what the Lord provides. Please pray for more workers and the church in Leon, GTO.
