Moving Day!

Can you remember the last time you moved? Do you remember thinking, "I didn't know we had this much JUNK?!" Yeah, well, that is exactly what we were thinking yesterday when we started moving all the church's stuff to the front room to be moved. We decided the best way to do it would be have one morning to take apart and pack and the next morning to actually move. Today was "phrase 2" of the plan! We loaded up our cars a few times and moved it all over to the new building...all but the chairs. Tomorrow will be our last Sunday at the building.
At small group last night we shared our favorite memories in the "old building". It was cool to walk down memory lane and think back to baptisms, potlucks, and the various events that were held at that place. Although for a while I HATED that building, mainly because of all the painting, mixing, and back braking work we did, I have come to love it for the fact that the church met there and God blessed us with so many good memories. Years from now, we will tell stories to the new converts of "that first building" and how little it was and how UGLY it was, but how great God is and how powerful His message was in that place. I look forward stories about the "new building", when it becomes the "old building", because it's not big enough for the church anymore! Please keep this transition in your prayers as we start paying more for rent, with many new responsibilities, but also as we look to grow like we haven't been able to before! Pray in faith that we will be prepared for all God is going to send our way! May God be glorified through His church!

Here's the "chain gang" passing boxes, etc to load up the car.
