"I fought the law and..."
Well, on Tuesday we were headed to the "glorious" HEB to buy our groceries, etc and then I hit a curb. Now to hear that doesn't sound to bad, but Barb thought the world was coming to an end. You might remember her response last time the tire exploded (not my fault, although this time it was). Anyways, so I limped the minivan over to the side of the road. Within 2 minutes (no exaggeration) TWO cops where on "the scene". It's one of those times when you think, "where are they when I WANT them around?" They proceed to tell me that I will be ticketed for "messing up the cement". I don't have a picture, but imagine scratching cement...it's nothing in comparison to the CHUNKS missing a few feet in front of where I hit the curb. He then asks me to give him $200 pesos and he would put a wrong address. His idea was that when they came to find us, we wouldn't live there, because he would have filled out the POLICE report with a bogus address. Needless to say, I was super frustrated. I put Barb and the kids in a cab to go home. Then, I called a tow truck and had it towed and fixed. It was not a cool way to start the day. As far as the title goes, I'm still waiting to find out what I will be "ticketed" with. That's why I didn't finish where they won or I won. No pictures were taken, so who knows what they will decide I need to "fix". Please keep this in your prayers. More than anything pray for Mexico as many live in fear of the police and the government!
