Honoring Family

Friday night we left for GDL to have dinner with Jose and Maria Palafox (Barb's parents). You might remember that they gave our marriage enrichment seminar in February. They have worked in GDL for over 17 years. In recent years that congregation has also started a new church plant in Tepic and now they are looking to start another congregation in Tequila, Jalisco.

Saturday, we hosted an anniversary party for them at the church's building. March 18th (today), they celebrated 35 years of marriage! It's amazing to look back at their lives and see how God has used them in so many ways. I am proud to be a part of their family and to have served them on this special occasion. I think it meant a lot to them and they were thankful for all the work of their children to put this together in their honor. Various preachers and members of the church came to celebrate with them.
